Lloyds TSB today said it made £3.71bn (€5.5bn) in 2006 as it became the latest UK banking group to deliver strong profits growth.
The figure, which was 8% higher than a year earlier, included profits of £1.55bn (€2.2bn) from its UK retail arm – an increase of 5% after strong cost controls.
