Green Party Councillor Chris O’Leary has called on Bank of Ireland to review its student-account policy after one student was refused an international ATM card before going travelling.

Cllr O'Leary said: "Bank of Ireland has in the past promoted its services to secondary-school students, most of whom are under 18 years of age, offering a number of account options, which came ready-made with an ATM card.
