Unions to seek more pay rises if inflation continues to climb

The trade union movement is warning that it may seek to renegotiate the recent social partnership deal if inflation continues to rise over the coming months.

Yesterday, the Central Statistics Office said the inflation rate hit 4.9% in December, its highest level in almost four years.
