The ISEQ index was up 54.03 points to 9391.55 after close of business today.
The financials led the charge, with Allied Irish Bank shooting up a full 40c to €22.65. Bank of Ireland (up 15c to €17.40) and Anglo Irish Bank (up 10c to €15.90) also performed well. Irish Life & Permanent, however, slid 18c to €21.02.
