Significant loss in busy day for ISEQ
The ISEQ index lost 1% of its value after a day of heavy trading on the Irish Stock Exchange, dropping 95.51 points to 9338.33.
The financial sector bore the brunt of much of the pessimistic mood, with Anglo Irish Bank alone (unchanged at €15.50) avoiding a loss. Allied Irish Banks and Irish Life & Permanent were both down 25c to €22.55 and €21.15 respectively, with Bank of Ireland dropping 12c to €17.35.
