'Stunning' £1m takings for Liberty

London's Regent Street retailer Liberty today said it took almost £1m (€1.49m) from shoppers over two days of a “stunning” Christmas season.

Liberty said sales for the festive period were 6% higher than 2005 as demand surged for luxury fashion accessories, as well as jewellery and fragrances.
