Ryanair has bought another €88m worth of Aer Lingus shares, bringing its total stake in the national carrier to more than 26%.

The low-frills airline launched a €1.5bn takeover bid for Aer Lingus earlier this year after revealing that it had secured 19% of shares in the newly privatised entity.
