Carphone confident about future prospects

Carphone Warehouse remained in bullish mood today after a hike in half-year profits helped offset the recent loss of a supply contract with Vodafone.

Revenues rose 40% while pre-tax profits came in at £59.3m (€88.6m) – before start-up losses were taken into account – for the six months to September 30. The figure compared with £37m (€55.3m) last year.
