Shares blow to Ryanair's Aer Lingus takeover bid

Low-budget airline Ryanair today appeared to be losing the battle to take over its rival Aer Lingus after pilots spent another €17m on shares.

Tailwind Nominees Ltd forked out for 6.1 million shares at €2.90 euro each, taking their holding of Ireland’s former flag carrier to 1.9%.
