The Belfast-based Daily Ireland newspaper has announced its intention to cease publication at the end of this week.

The paper is blaming the British government for the move as London had refused to place any public-service advertisements in its pages.

Daily Ireland, which had an openly nationalist agenda, was set up just 20 months ago by the group behind the Anderstonstown News.
