Most workers have inadequate income protection

The vast majority of Irish workers have inadequate arrangements to protect their income in the event of a major, prolonged illness, according to the Friends First financial institution.

The company says research it has carried out found that just 15% of private-sector workers would receive sick pay from their employers for more than a six-month period.
