Bright start for ISEQ

The ISEQ index had gained a healthy 70.62 points to 7255.97 by 2pm today, buoyed by good performances from the financials, as well as construction firms.

Irish Life & Permanent was the only financial not to gain ground, but remained unchaged at €17.15. AIB (up 30c to €17.80) and Bank of Ireland (up 29c to €13.44) thrived in early trading. Anglo Irish Bank inched up 2c to €10.92.
