Teagasc: WTO reforms would leave most Irish farms unviable

Agriculture and food development agency Teagasc has today warned that the majority of Irish farmers will be put out of business if reforms being negotiated by the World Trade Organisation (WTO) are implemented.

The complete abolition of EU export subsidies and major reductions on import tariffs are on the table at the WTO talks in Geneva.
