NI business people protest against industrial rates

Business people in the North are holding a rally in Belfast today to protest against the introduction of industrial rates.

The British Government is bringing in the charges this year to raise money needed to fund local services.

The Northern Ireland Manufacturing Focus Group, which organised today's protest, claims the move could cost 30,000 jobs.

It says there is widespread opposition to the rates among businesses, political parties and trade unions.
