GUS acquires database firm
Argos owner GUS today unveiled an £85m (€124m) deal for a marketing database firm that helps companies monitor customers’ spending patterns.
GUS said ClarityBlue – whose clients include heavyweight firms such as Barclaycard, BSkyB, Morgan Stanley and O2 – was “highly complementary” to its Experian marketing business.
It expected ClarityBlue to boost its existing marketing services in areas such as customer profiling and email delivery. GUS could pay up to £15m (€21.9m) more over three years depending on its performance.
