Bank offers cash incentive to switch mortgage

Home owners were today given an added incentive to shop around for the best mortgage offers as National Irish Bank promised to pay consumers who switch €1,000.

With interest rates expected to rise in the coming year, the deal could save consumers anything from €300 to €750 a year.
