The Government has agreed to discuss steps to combat the exploitation of workers as part of negotiations on a new social partnership deal.

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions said last night that it had received a letter from the Fianna Fáil-Progressive Democrats coalition promising that the issue of protecting employment standards would be a priority in talks on a success to the Sustaining Progress agreement.
