Govt spending €2.5m on staff a year

Government Ministers are spending two and a half million euro each year on civil servants working in their constituency offices.

Civil Servants are seconded from a Ministers Department to work in a constituency office, to compensate for the increased workload a minister faces as a result of being in government.
