Businesses will benefit under new plans to cut the price of registering an Irish website domain by a fifth, it was claimed today.

Tommy Broughan, a Labour Party TD, said it was crucial for the quality of Irish e-commerce that the Irish domain, .ie, becomes an attractive option for internet users.
