ISEQ edges towards 6900 mark

The ISEQ index of shares added 2.18 points to close at 6894.06 today.

Most financial stocks performed well. Anglo Irish saw the largest increase, up 18c to €11.73, while AIB was up 12c to €18.20. Bank of Ireland rose 1c to €13.19. Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend, falling 2c to €15.38.
