The ISEQ gained 15.4 points to 6741.6 today.

Wholesaler Unidare lost 20c (7%) of its share price to close at €2.65.

Technology company Icon also posted a significant loss, down €1.00 (2.9%) at €33.00.

AIB was up 32c (1.9%) at €17.57. Along with Bank of Ireland, the bank today announced it was planning measures to improve customer service. AIB also announced details of the next phase of its partnership with finance union IBOA.

Bank of Ireland gained 5c to €12.80.

Anglo Irish Bank was down 10c at €11.24 at the end of the day, while Irish Life and Permanent was up 2c at €15.45.

Food and beverage company C&C was up 10c (1.9%) at €5.35.

Jurys Hotel Group fell 20c (1.1%) to €18.70.

CRH was the day’s busiest share, and fell 19c to €21.95.

Eircom was down 1c at €2.30. The company today said that it had outsourced 200 Irish call-centre jobs to a company in Britain.
