ISEQ loses early gains
The ISEQ lost early gains to close down 2.93 points at 6781.07.
Exploration company Providence Resources recorded no change today despite the announcement of an operating profit of 135% for the first six months of this year.
Iona Technologies, who are also listed on the Nasdaq, recorded one of the biggest increases on today's ISEQ rising 23c to €2.50, more than 10%.
McInerney Holdings gained 7c to €8.47. Yesterday the company announced a decrease in profits for the first six months of this year.
Bank of Ireland was unchanged at €13.15. Today the bank announced that reported a sharp decline in the number of its customers who intend to spend all of the money in their Special Savings Incentive Accounts.
AIB lost 6c to €17.68 and Anglo Irish Bank rose 5c to €11.40. Irish Life and Permanent was up 3c to €14.98.
