Study says Irish bank charges are among cheapest in world
A study paid for the Irish Bankers Federation has reportedly found that Ireland's bank charges are among the cheapest in the developed world.
Reports this morning said research by a London-based consultancy firm found that Ireland had the third lowest charges of the 20 countries surveyed.
The other countries involved included the 11 other members of the euro-zone, as well as the United States, Britain and China.
Irish charges were reportedly found to average €59-a-year, compared with an average of €108 throughout all 20 countries and €130 in the 11 other euro-zone nations.
