Dow climbs as oil price falls

Stocks climbed on Wall Street today on plunging oil prices and an upbeat outlook from Hewlett-Packard.

But inflation concerns capped the day’s rise, as US government figures showed wholesale prices for July increased by the largest amount in nine months thanks to higher oil prices.
