Senior Department of Finance official Billy Hawkes has been appointed as the new data protection commissioner.

Senior Department of Finance official Billy Hawkes has been appointed as the new data protection commissioner.

Mr Hawkes will replace former commissioner Joe Meade, who has been appointed as the Financial Services Ombudsman.
