ISEQ in the red

The ISEQ index of shares entered negative territory today as it closed down 12.26 points at 6772.67.

Financial stocks were mostly down. AIB fell 7c to €17.98 while Bank of Ireland fell 8c to €13.15. Anglo Irish Bank saw a 10c fall to €11.13. Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend, adding 5c to €14.62.
