Holidaymakers hit by work calls, says survey
Almost half of all holidaymakers have their break interrupted by calls from work, new research showed today.
A survey of 2,000 adults for Teletext Holidays found that one in four cannot switch off entirely from their job when they are on vacation.
Two out of five even feel guilty about taking time off, with women feeling more guilty about men.
Nishma Patel, managing director of Teletext Holidays, said: “Holidays are precious and should be a chance to get away from it all – and that includes work.
“Our research shows that holiday-makers are finding it increasingly hard to achieve this because work either looms large or is on the phone."
