Glazer - Enough shares to take Man U private

US businessman Malcolm Glazer was today in a position to end Manchester United’s 14-year stretch as a stock market-listed company.

Mr Glazer’s advisers are known to have picked up enough shares to take the club private, although the exact level of the tycoon’s shareholding is unlikely to be revealed until after the stock market closes tonight.
