Tourism Minister John O'Donoghue has expressed optimism about the prospects for the sector this year.
Speaking at the opening of a tourism and trade fair in Dublin today, Minister O'Donoghue said the number of people visiting Ireland from continental Europe was up 40% so far this year following an explosion in new flights.
