Satellite TV company BSkyB announced stronger-than-expected sales today after adding 95,000 subscribers in the first three months of the year.

The improvement in the company’s financial third quarter took its direct-to-home (DTH) digital subscriber base to 7.7 million, leaving it well on course to achieve a target of eight million by the end of the calendar year.
