Dublin's stock exchange suffered heavy losses today as it closed down 95.62 points at 5833.86.

The construction sector took battering. Building materials group, CRH, saw its stock tumble 34c to €19.31, while Grafton also fell 34c to €8.66. Kingspan closed down 18c at €9.17, while McInerney experienced a 22c fall to stand at €9.17. Abbey fell 15c to €8.50.
