Marshalls seize GlaxoSmithKline drug batch

United States marshals today seized batches of two drugs made by pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline because the UK company’s manufacturing standards violated US national rules.

The seizures of anti-depressant Paxil CR and diabetes treatment Avandamet followed an inspection at the end of last year by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
