Construction employee numbers up 6.1%

Employment in private firms (with five or more persons engaged) in the construction industry increased by 6.1% in December 2004 in comparison with December 2003, says the Central Statistics Office.

The monthly employment index increased from 94.2 in December 2003 to 99.9 in December 2004.
