EU women lose out in pay stakes

Women across the 25-nation European Union outnumber men in higher education and are making inroads in employment, but the gap between their pay and that of men remains wide, according to a survey.

The European Commission’s second annual gender equality report found that men on average earn 15% more than women doing the same job.
