Ireland's inflation rate fell to 2.3% in the first month of this year, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

Ireland's inflation rate fell to 2.3% in the first month of this year, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said average prices fell by 0.8% during the month, mainly due to the winter sales, lower air fares and decreases in the price of petrol and diesel.
