Hundreds of Fiat workers went on strike today, warning that the company’s plans to make cars in Iran will trigger job losses in Italy.

Fiat announced it had signed a deal to manufacture and sell several models in Iran, where production is due to start in the latter half of this year and should eventually reach 250,000 vehicles a year.
