Barroso: More Europe for less money?

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso today threw down the gauntlet to European leaders who want to put a tight lid on euro-spending.

Unveiling his five-year plan for his term at the top of the Commission, Mr Barroso poured scorn on those opposing expanding the EU’s €65bn a year budget.
