Govt to consider privatisation or break-up of ESB

The Government is reportedly planning to consider the privatisation or break-up of ESB as part of a review of energy policy this year.

Reports this morning said Natural Resources Minister Noel Dempsey had indicated that such measures would be considered in an effort to offer greater value for money to consumers and to protect the security of energy supplies.
