ISEQ down as Elan plummets

Pharmaceutical giant Elan fell back €1 (4.58%) today to €20.85 as the ISEQ index shed 33.36 points to 6497.72.

Greencore was up one cent to €3.26, following an IFA threat today that farmers would withdraw sugar supplies from the company if there is no reversal of the decision to close the Carlow sugar factory.
