Outgoing Aer Lingus chief executive Willie Walsh reportedly rejected plans for the future of the state airline that he is now planning to implement with his own rival airline.

Reports this morning said Mr Walsh had rejected a business plan drawn up by two Aer Lingus employees which suggested offering cheap flights to Bangkok, Dubai and South Africa.
