Industrial earnings average rises 4.5%

The Central Statistics Office has reported a 4.5% increase in average industrial earnings in Ireland in the 12 months to the end of September this year.

The CSO said average hours worked in the industrial sector decreased by 0.2% over the same period, meaning that hourly pay rates had actually increased by 4.9%.
