Somers named IITI president

Jim Somers, partner and head of indirect tax at Ernst & Young Ireland, was today inaugurated as the new president of the Institute of International Trade of Ireland.

Mr Somers will replace Professor Frank Bradley, who has been president of the Institute for the past three years.

The Institute of International Trade of Ireland (IITI), the education and research arm of the Irish Exporters Association, was established to address both the policy and practical issues relating to Ireland’s international trade.

Mr Somers is respected as one of the top indirect tax advisors in Ireland.
