Cabinet defers decision on superstores

The Cabinet has reportedly deferred a decision on whether to change the planning laws to allow one-off superstores in certain parts of the country.

The Swedish furniture giant Ikea has been seeking a relaxation of the laws to allow it to construct a massive outlet in the Ballymun area of Dublin.
