Mobility-friendly companies have more productive employees, according to a survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit

A global survey has found 75% of employees think access to mobile tools and technologies is very important to job success in their industry.

The survey queried 1,500 workers from around the world and was conducted in July and August in co-operation with Cisco Systems.

The survey suggests greater personal mobility, as seen among workers at mobility-friendly companies, is associated with superior productivity.

The Economist Intelligence Unit is the business information arm of The Economist Group, publisher of The Economist.

Cisco Systems is a worldwide leader in networking for the internet.
