Irish overpaid in compensation for foot-and-mouth

It has emerged that Irish farmers were paid too much compensation after the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease.

The EU Court of Auditors said that Ireland is among four countries who were overpaid for the destruction of their animals.

The other countries are Britain, France and the Netherlands.
