Strike threat to Christmas lager supplies

British production workers at lager giant Carlsberg are to stage a 16-day strike in a row over pay which union leaders claimed today would hit supplies in the run-up to Christmas.

Members of the Transport and General Workers’ Union at the company’s brewery in Northampton will walk out from December 1 and could take further industrial action in the New Year.
