Abramovich to pocket €795m
Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich is close to putting another €795m into his burgeoning bank accounts.
He is close to selling his remaining stake in Russia’s biggest aluminium manufacturer, the Interfax news agency reported today.
Under the deal, Basic Element, the holding company controlled by Russian aluminium baron Oleg Deripaska, would acquire full control of Russian Aluminium
The deal is for billionaire Abramovich’s remaining 25% stake, said to be worth €795m.
John Mann, a spokesman for Abramovich, declined to comment on the report.
