ISME, the independent business organisation has warned recent increases in energy costs, among other factors, could result in new lower inflation figures being just a temporary respite.

ISME chief executive Mark Fielding said the cost environment for business has not diminished with the recent 16% increase in gas, 10% increase in electricity due from October 1 and the rises in oil costs.
