Irish Broadband today unveiled its Ripwave broadband service for the residential market.

Ripwave is a high-speed wireless broadband service, which does not require a phone line.

Having secured seven licences in the first round of 3.5 GHz band licences announced in November 2003, Irish Broadband’s wireless network is up and running in Dublin.

The company is currently rolling out a wireless broadband network across Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford, Drogheda, Dundalk and Belfast and is on schedule to complete the rollout in these regions by January 2005.
