AA to axe 900 jobs
British motoring organisation the AA today said 900 jobs were set to go after it pulled the plug on its loss-making business of 122 car repair centres.
The closure move will see Nationwide Autocentres take on 50 of the sites, as well as 400 of the 1,300 workers affected by the plan in total.
Nationwide will then have a network of 225 centres, which the AA said would become its approved service provider for members and customers.
